All Taxes (Real Property, Motor Vehicles, and Tangible) are due in the Town of Little Compton quarterly on the following dates:
- September 15th
- December 15th
- March 15th
- June 15th
REAL ESTATE TAXES ARE BASED ON A CALENDAR YEAR AND ARE PAID IN ARREARS. THE SEPTEMBER QUARTER ARE FOR TAXES OWED FOR JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH. (FOR EXAMPLE, WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR 2019 BILL, THE SEPTEMBER QUARTER IS FOR TAXES FOR JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH OF 2019).
Another option for payment is to utilize the Town's drop box slot
located at the Town Hall on the Tax Collectors exterior doorway.
The Finance Director also serves as the Town’s Treasurer/Tax Collector.
The Town Treasurer’s duties and responsibilities are set by state law and include:
- Financial record keeping,
- The deposit and disbursement of Town funds,
- The power to sign the bonds, notes, or other evidences of indebtedness of the Town,
- Produce an annual report including a statement of expenditures,
- And all other duties imposed by state law.
