Hazard Mitigation Public Hearings and Survey opportunity - offer your comments relating to storm readiness
The Town is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan by collecting your comments/concerns regarding storms and natural hazards. We encourage you to participate in a survey by following the link below and taking a 2 minute survey. We are gathering data on your past experience and/or concerns as they relate to storms.
In order to be better prepared we need to know if you have existing problems in your part of town such as stormwater flooding or known wind problems. Please be open and honest and offer comments as you feel led. The more data we gather the better our Hazard Mitigation plan will be for our town. The survey may be taken via the link below, or by completing a survey form and dropping off to the Office of the Town Clerk.

Two (2) Public Hearings will be held to offer additional opportunity for you to voice your concerns. The first public hearing was held August 4th at 7 pm, with the second hearing scheduled to be held September 22nd. We will post notices of the hearings as the dates get closer. You may see the notice through the link located within this announcement above, or through the Town Council agenda for each date by using the link on the town website found on the home bottom right and additionally in the Sakonnet Times in the legal notices prior to the hearing.
